It's been a few months since our last NPA shoot, and many of us have been fighting the itch for quite some time. Well Spring is here, and we all know what that means. It's time to shake the dust off those torches, unpack the racks, and pull some product out of storage! This weekend was filled with two days of fireworks at Kent's farm in Quincy, WA. We had everything from salute cannons to fountains, 1.4G consumer products, fun rockets of all kinds, and up to 8" shells...a lot of 8" shells.
The builder products were impressive as always, with some newbies learning valuable lessons in proper rack construction and the safety benefits of hdpe.
1.3G professional products were supplied by our good friends at Wolverine. These products never fail to impress, and we are very fortunate to have their support and friendship.
Thanks again to Kent and his crew for making this another wonderful event. Thanks for the food, for the hospitality, and for all of the good times you allow us to have.
Last but not least, thank you to the entire club and it's officers and board members. None of this would be possible without the support of all the club's members, guests, and supportive friends and families.
NPA member Jimmyzip extended an invitation to the club for a night at his place in Ephrata, WA. The event was a great success thanks in part to our gracious hosts and solid turnout of members to give a helping hand. The photography skills above are courtesy of our very own member, Hoku.
Our very own Epic Overlord Tank Battle took place at the Ferndale NPA Fall Shoot 2011. Big thank you to Bryan and Charles for the ringside seats to the battle royale.
The 2011 Quincy Balloon Festival shoot was a huge success thanks in part to over 50 members showing up to give a hand in what was our largest 1.3g and 1.4g mixed display yet. The NPA guys and gals can be proud of the rave review from the Quincy Valley Post-Register, calling it a "mind-blowing fireworks show." Video courtesy of our fellow member Hoku.
The first ever NPA Spring Shoot 2011 was one hell of a show! We had a nice turnout and a huge thank you goes out to our host, the owner of Northwest Pyro (Steve). See the video above, courtesy of fellow member Blaze.45, for a small sample of the finale.
We have established partnerships with the federal, state, and local government, as well as wholesalers/retailers and land-owners to create a healthy and reliable pyrotechnic display network that is unprecedented for this part of the region. We hope you join us for money saving opportunities and to take part in the events and celebrations coming up in June and July!

Membership for the 2011 annual season is open for enrollment!
We have achieved our initial goals and are now striving to provide safety classes and shoots for our growing membership... please show your support and visit our membership info page to start the application process. We are now fully insured and have established a healthy network of shoot sites in and around the northwest. The next step will be meeting BATFE requirements, continuing to add to our network of shoot sites, and continue event planning even through the "off-season".
As we kick things off for 2011, the board members and I want to thank you for your time and contributions to the pyrotechnic arts. We all look forward to serving you through the coming season and beyond.

The Northwest Pyrotechnics Association is a collaborative effort of all walks of Pyro life. We range from "Seasoned Veteran Operators" to "Consumer 1.4 Enthusiasts." We welcome those folks interested in legally building and testing their own creations SAFELY. We look forward to sharing the knowledge of our "Proximate Professional" friends as well. We are Wholesalers and Retailers and have engaged the interest of the region's largest display companies on your behalf.
Our goal is to promote the Safe and Legal use of Pyrotechnics, educate the general public, celebrate our FREEDOM and simply put "Satisfy our Sweet Tooth!" We wish to extend an invitation to ALL who share our passion.
